Bromelain, a pineapple-derived enzyme, cleaves the protein bonds holding surface debris with a selectivity, surfactants cannot match. Its activity is calibrated to pH 5.0: active during cleansing, deactivating safely at rinse. The result is skin that is clean, intact, and primed, not depleted.
